Default Thinking "out of the box"...

The point is not necessarily that you're going to go and create your own shrimp farm away from the sea...

The point is more to help stimulate thinking out of the box, as they say... To go beyond conventional "knee-jerk" reactions in thinking...

If anyone said someone could start a saltwater shrimp farm in Iowa, most people would say - that's crazy, that's impossible!

However, these people figured out how to make it work. By doing so, they created a competitive advantage... How?

If you're a long way from the ocean (such as in Iowa), saltwater shrimp has to be imported from one of the coastal cities.

However, if you could buy shrimp from a local shrimp farm, transport costs would be lower, and also, the shrimp would be fresher!

That's the main point... Sometimes in our reactions, we tend to automatically think, "you can't do that!" However, with a bit of thinking, sometimes you can do what seems to be impossible or improbable, and sometimes that can give you an advantage...
