Hello all,
I came across this report that is now selling between 19.95 to 24.95 on several sites. The information is okay I guess I'd change a couple of things but I wanted to present it in it's entirety for your benefit. I did not write this article, but I will tell you this when I got listed in google in the number one position for "front page search engine placement", It took a week or two and I was then number one in Yahoo as well. This just happened as early as 2 months ago and that was after the big Yahoo is charging 200 per listing scare. Didn't cost me a dime.
HOW TO GET LISTED IN YAHOO IN JUST 3 DAYS
AND GET 1000'S OF HITS EVERYDAY!
Getting listed in Yahoo is no easy task if you are trying to add your URL within the Yahoo site.* For the most part, it can take several weeks even months and in a lot of cases... never!
So what is the secret to getting listed in just 3 days?
This is the secret very few know about.

If you are having trouble getting listed in the search engines than you'll appreciate this superior tactic. Get your website listed in the backdoor of just these 3 search engines, Yahoo, Alta Vista and Excite. Those three account for 89% of all search engine traffic.* Therefore, the rest really don't matter.
Yahoo uses http://www.google.com as their choice for listings.* Getting listed in Google is much easier than getting listed in Yahoo.* Once you're listed in Google, you're listed in Yahoo by default.
Go to http://www.dmoz.org. This is the Open Directory Project begun by several key players from Netscape. Once your site has been accepted into the Open Directory, it may take anywhere from 2 weeks to several months for your site to be listed on partner sites which use the Open Directory data, such as AOL Search, AltaVista, HotBot, Google, Lycos, Netscape Search, etc.* By the way, AltaVista has several databases they use.* You should submit your site four weeks in a row to get the best placement.
A listing in Yahoo takes a couple of weeks if you have your website designed correctly.
Yahoo.com is a directory, not a search engine. Yahoo lists sites alphabetically.* Your site is reviewed by a Yahoo employee not a computer spider. You MUST make sure your site is free of errors and meets their requirements.* Before you submit your website make certain all your pages are free of spelling errors, all links work, all images load properly, your pages load quickly, and stick to one subject or you will have problems getting listed in a timely fashion.* Yahoo will not list sites with multiple subjects.* If you have a site that has multiple subjects create a new page that sticks to just one.* After you are listed you can change it.
Yahoo requires you to find the appropriate directory and/or sub categories to list your site into.* This is very important and if you don't do this right you will certainly be turned down.* Before submitting your site, review what Yahoo says you must do.
*
Be sure you list all of your company information address, contact info, email contact, phone#'s etc.
If, for some reason your site is not listed within 3-4 weeks, you may consider their business listing service. It will cost you $199.00.* It doesn't guarantee you a placement but you will know why your site wouldn't be accepted.
All this might seem to be a pain in the you-know-what, but it's worth it if you want lots of traffic!
