Default Archeologist Heinrich Schliemann Learned New Languages In a Week

Hi Cindy,

Schliemann was a madman when it came to learning new languages.

He'd buy a bunch of books in English AND Greek.

Or English-Spanish

English-Russian

Lock himself in a room for a week.

Come out half dead - but knowing how to read the language.

Then he'd go and pester native speakers
to get the spoken pronunciation down.

He out-worked and outTHUNK all the other Archeologists of his day
because he could READ the existing material BEFORE he started digging.

He may have discovered "Troy" this way.

I LIKE ONE Thing Heinrich Schliemann
DID that you don't provide on your site.

SIDE BY SIDE - pages in each language.

AND

The ability to choose ANY book you are interested in. Not limit
things to the articles on the site.

IF I ever have to learn a new language fast
I'd use Heinrich Schliemann's method.

So your idea is a good one.

But I don't know how you can Improve on Heinrich Schliemann's Strategy.
