According to a recent survey, the most popular state in which to start a new business is....

Nevada!

The next two were Arizona and Utah.... (Texas comes in at no. 7.... California and New York don't even make it to the top 10.)

The most popular small metropolitan area in which to start a business was Las Vegas, while the most popular large metro area to start a business in was Phoenix, Arizona.
