Default James Allen, Martin Luther King, and audacity....

Hi Taylor,

Thanks, it seems like a nice little book.... I found it online (I've linked to it below).... James Allen mostly lived in the 19th century, so some have put his book online since it's no longer under copyright....

Thanks Taylor for pointing this book out! :)

Just to clarify (Gordon already made this point well) that chutzpah or audacity is not identical to arrogance, though I could see how they could sometimes be confused.... You can be audacious without being arrogant. That's the kind of thing I appreciate.... :)

Martin Luther King was one who was audacious, without being arrogant.... Did he offend some people? He sure did! Many in the 1960s found his message of racial equality to be quite offensive.... But it wasn't arrogant. His loud proclamation of his message was definitely quite audacious, and you could say he had a bit of "chutzpah".... It's a good example, I think, of the difference.... :)
