Has anyone had experience/ success/failure with marketing products to children (well, their parents)?

Kids are a hugely influential market segment and I'm conducting some research for an idea I have for a product/website.

Anyone with kids age 5 - 12 who have purchased products online? with parental supervision of course ;-)
