Default Too bad for whom?

The university is the "host".

The advertisers get to trade on the "implied endorsement" (referral) of the host.

They also get access to the customers in an exclusive and unique way
that isn't available anywhere else.

The ad prices could easily be doubled.

It's a great idea. Too bad the postcard threads here were deleted.

Why? Why is it "too bad" they were deleted?

Over the 15 years, there have been hundreds of threads deleted for one reason or another. Yet, there are THOUSANDS of threads which remain and are full of useful actionable information provided by the participants.

What is too bad for one or two people might be very good for others.

Lots of forums out there to discuss just about anything someone wants to discuss, including the selling of advertising.
