With all this "data" floating around... It's easy for a lot of important things to be missed...
I guess that's partly what this is about. Combing through and monitoring all the data! (From all the surveillance video cameras, etc.)
It's the world we live in... It has pluses and minuses. It means more criminals will get arrested. But also, it's easier for those in power to know what you're doing, for every little tiny part of your life - if they want to know.
However, every new problem creates an opportunity (and often many opportunities)!
For example, various people have developed clothing, makeup, and even hairstyles (that partly cover the face) which are designed to help you avoid being recognized by face-recognition technology...
