Llamas were a hot biz-op a decade ago, and we have one right down the road a couple of miles.

I must admit, I don't know much about running a small ranch or farm like that - though my late Dad grew up on a farm, on the outskirts of Coldwater, Michigan... The family farm is now owned by my aunt...

However, I do know for some people, running something like an ostrich farm would be a dream come true!

I can imagine that, in many ways, it'd be healthier than living in the "big smoke"...!

A friend of mine's parents live on a small "hobby farm"... The used to have emus, back when they were "hot". However, the farm was never their main business... It's more of a lifestyle thing... They have chickens, goats, and ponds filled with fish (so they can go fishing whenever they want)...
