Hopefully new directions (along with the old) will allow SOWPub to continue...would really hate to see it drift away.

Hope this isn't a sore spot, but have to ask out of curiosity...you were perfecting the perfect hot dog....did it materialize?

Thanks.

I think so. The problem: in economies, the veal, that cast off by-product of dairy farmers was cost prohibitive. Now, that, and the fact most people can't tell the 1.00 a pack from the 5.00 a pack ones, then they slather it with chili, cheese, catsup, 101 hot mustards, pickle relish...and shove it in their pie hole without even tasting anything...

meant, I'd have to start a micro-brewery like specialty hot dog place... and, one lesson I hope I've learned over the years,

don't fall in love with your idea...

I do still buy GFS all beef dogs and have different "pickling" jars I put them in, so, up for FLAVORED dogs? Not perfect ones. But, as tasty as chocolate chip potato chips, I'm sure.

Also, I don't have much interest in the kitchen these days. Even chewing is a chore.

Thanks for asking.

You know, veal shouldn't be as high as it is, sort of like Gold I guess, what the market is willing to pay, but what they going to do with all those male cows anyhow? Make a faux chicken product? Hmmmm?
