That's one reason he got the Republican nomination, and one reason TV and radio stations loved having him on...

This may be a controversial statement, but... Donald Trump is really a great showman...
He's amazing at getting attention!
That's why the media love to cover him...
I just watched the 2nd Presidential debate. One thing everyone was talking about was how, before the debate, he appeared with four women who have accused Bill Clinton (Hillary's husband) of sexual misconduct...
This did a few things...
* Donald Trump has been recently widely criticized for his extremely crude sexual comments, recorded "behind the scenes" 11 years ago (in 2005)... It helped to divert some attention away from him, and towards Bill Clinton...
* However, it's was great "showmanship"... Undoubtedly, the TV networks would have loved it! It probably increased their ratings for the debate...
* The other thing it might have done is unnerved Hillary Clinton. These four women were sitting in the audience... Four women who, it is said, had sex with her husband. Undoubtedly that would have affected her emotionally, having them sitting there in the audience, peering at her... (It's playing "dirty" - but they say all's fair in love and war... and probably politics too...!)
* However, there's a risk in doing this, as it would probably also turn a lot of people off. I think Donald Trump figured he had little to lose by doing it, with the criticism he's been under the past couple of days...
Love him or hate him, Trump is a master showman. I don't think showmanship, in itself, is enough to win an election (or to make a "sale" in itself)... But getting attention for your message is usually the first step, and he's a master at that.
Getting attention is also the first step for any business, too... If nobody knows you exist, how can they buy from you?
Best wishes,
Dien
