Dobie Gillis. Milton Armitage.

Recently Milton (aka Warren Beatty) had some TV experience.

I tuned in for Tuesday Weld. Zelda was everyone's friend and Chats Osborne Jr.

Even a young Ron Howard showed up.

But Maynard was a notable TV character as was Gilligan.

Work? WERK1?
Thanks Dien
Hi Gordon,

Thanks, I enjoyed the video!

Actually, I hadn't seen Maynard G. Krebs before... I heard about him from you, and I also have another friend (a big fan of old TV series and movies) who had mentioned him too... So I knew him by reputation...!

Now, I wanna see more!

But you're right, sometimes you do more work trying to avoid doing the work than you would have done just doing the work!

This is a bit off track, but... In the past couple of months, I've been watching many movies directed by Billy Wilder... Well known ones (like "Double Indemnity," "The Seven Year Itch," and "The Apartment") along with less well-known ones (like "The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes," "Avanti!," and "The Fortune Cookie"). I think Billy Wilder had real talent (as he also co-wrote all those movies)... I think you can learn about writing by watching well-written movies... (At least I hope so, as then I can justify watching more! )

Best wishes,

Dien
