Hi Leanora,
I have friends who run a company that helps buildings to become more energy efficient. They do this using a combination of technology and software, to help "automate" the building so it is more energy efficient (automatically raising and closing blinds, that kind of thing, depending on the weather, the position of the sun, etc.). They don't deal with homes, but just with large office buildings. I could put you in touch with them if that would help - but they're based in Australia.
