Default There are all kinds of successful tabloids...here's one 'off the wall' example

Hi Gordon,

My ears still perk up when discussing tabloids.
;-) There are SO many options. Here's a slightly different one than we discussed in the RH forum.

Some of you may subscribe to Joe Vitale's ezine (mrfire.com). This week, he mentioned finding a tabloid near the exit of a restaurant in the very small Texas town of Wimberly.

Joe stressed that he just couldn't put it down until he had read all 24 pages. He described the paper as a National Lampoon type of tabloid. A satire...an underground, humorous tabloid that is written and published by...teenagers with wild and juicy imaginations.

The headline is what caught his eye. "UFO lands in Wimberly!"

Joe said that is the kind of publication that he would advertise in because they KNOW how to get attention. The paper is free, but the ads sure aren't. :-) He predicts that these kids will be very wealthy in a few years. Even the older folk are reading this sensationalism...and lovin' it, apparently.

Just thought I'd mention this for anyone on this board who might be entertaining the idea of doing a tabloid. OR, maybe this is something that your teenager might like to do.

A link to The Sir Lance A Lot's Herald tabloid, that very much impressed Joe, is below.

Enjoy!
Amber
