> Where does your state rank?
Well, it finally displayed the list. Here's my breakdown.
Ohio, (where I am now) - #40. I guess that wasn't much of a surprise. I think if they could figure out how to monitor how many times I flush my toilet and tax that, they would do it. I've never seen a place with more taxes than here. But I shouldn't complain too much. When I was in the Seattle area last month, I visited a Borders bookstore and got a nice discount on a book I bought. I was still a bit surprised at what I had to pay. Turns out the sales tax was 8.9%! Egads!
South Carolina, (where my wife would like to return) - #18. This was a bit of a surprise since SC still has somewhat of a good old boy environment. But I noticed incredible new growth when I was down there a couple of weeks ago. (Now if they could just get rid of that 100 degree heat with 97% humidity!)
