Default Can you work on a laptop in your car?

I'm "high risk" if I catch Covid, due to pre-existing medical conditions...

I used to often work on my laptop in various locations - like cafes, hotel lobbies, and even sometimes shopping mall food courts...

One place I'd never been able to successfully work on my laptop is in my car!

But now, with Covid, my hand has been forced...

Sometimes I need to travel around my sprawled-out city, and sometimes I have spare time I can work while I'm "on the road"...

In the past, it was no problem... I'd just bring my laptop, find a cafe, restaurant, or high-end hotel lobby, and work away...

But, as I'm doing my best not to get sick, my only option "on the road" to work now is in my car...

Just yesterday, I discovered - there is something called a "car desk!"

So, today, I went and got myself one...

The one I bought looks like this...

There are many different designs... What I liked about this one is I can hook it over the steering wheel, and work in the front seat, or hook it over the back seat, and work in the back...

(Other designs I looked at gave you a choice of one or the other, but not both!)

It also wasn't too expensive...

I'm typing this now on my laptop, using the new "car desk" in my car (with it hooked over the steering wheel)... And it works!

The closest experience I can say to what it's like is that it's like working on an airplane, using the small tray you get. However, it's better than that, actually, because I have more space in my car than you do in an economy airline seat anyway...!

So, my work options have expanded... I thought I'd share, in case others didn't know about this, and may find it helpful...

(Just don't drive while typing! )

Best wishes,

Dien
