I haven't seen this sales letter discussed much... but it's a doozy...
It's a letter for a charity, the Sea Turtle Rescue Fund...
It was a huge success. The copywriter was Richard Armstrong...
Why does it work?
In my opinion, it really pulls on your heartstrings...
But not only that... the graphics are amazing!
It tells the plight of the poor baby turtles, which, if they go the wrong direction, head towards certain death...
Then you have the pictures of the baby turtles, which help hammer the story home... But not only that...
The letter includes the pathway of a turtle... leading in the wrong direction, to certain death!
Wow... I've never seen such incredible use of illustration in a direct mail sales letter...
