Thanks Dien,
Although I thought it would be an easy update, the amount of research and what I've learned makes it more complicated. Now, the younger crowd will not be as susceptible to 'old world' persuasion and influence...
it may be easier to get a Cialdini like "Click-Whirr" automatic response.
They have been INDOCTRINATED, TRAINED and taught and we are starting to see some of this "thoughtless", mindless knee-jerk reaction, such as the Harvard students signing the document blaming Israel for the terrorists attack. We see how this has back-fired on many of them.
It also has provoked a free speech discussion, which we may address in the future, but for now, it is a demonstration of the point; it may be much easier to trigger a response for this social media indoctrinated crowd.
And while the whole idea of influence has changed, from a marketing perspective, one can take advantage of this change in behavior and maybe make it beneficial, or at least profitable...albeit, not so one sided.
Much more to come.
Gordon

Firstly, this is another attestation of Gordon's own down-home genius... and how he can transfer some of his genius to others - as he has done many times in the past, both here in this forum and elsewhere!
Not to mention that many here are already "geniuses"... that's why you're here, right? Because you're a level above the average...!
Much will surprise you... and I can't wait myself!
Best wishes,
