I read that Scientists Down Under discovered a SMART Bird Fire-bug.

Bird seizes a flaming branch in it's beak.

Carries it to a dry area.

Sets it on fire.

Then Eats whatever runs out of the fire.

Which explains SOME of the hundreds of fires.
