Glenn O. is well positioned for the bad times; solar stoves, wood stoves, recipes tested and proven. He is well ahead most of us.
Those companies which import electric space heaters, are in for a tough winter. However, the folks at Lehman's in Kidron, OH will be selling out of their Ben Franklin stoves and all things "Amish" like supplies.
Putting up food may gain a new audience; all things canning, freezing, storing of longer term food may become a HOT seller. Home gardens, once again may tick upwards.
Hand made quilts, blankets and yarn products may heat up.
