Hi Dien and all!
My friend Sandie taught me that Gratitude is the highest form of energy out there. I even incorporated it into my exercise routine...here I will get a copy of an email I sent to one of my coaching groups, just a sec....As I did repetitions on the machines, I would silently state what
I was grateful for about specific parts of my body. So for example,
for ten reps I was grateful for my feet....it went something like
this: I am grateful for the balancing you provide me, I am grateful
for the journeys we take together, I am grateful for the perfection
of your size and shape." I simply let my thoughts flow. Since the
machines I work on are all automated (The reps are counted for the
exerciser) I simply expressed gratitude until that particular 10
reps was completed.
I did my feet, eyes, elbows, stomach, knees, fingers and nose. It
was nothing short of amazing how great I felt afterwards!
This technique could literally be applied to any repetitive movement
(washing dishes, vacuuming, walking, you name it.
I thought it would be a great one to pass along to my clients, so I
thought I would share it here as well.
So there you have it. I get a kick out of observing myself, I look like the most cheery person working out! :-)
