Wonderful post. The other thing about Richard Branson is that while he is obviously 'business savvy' he did not know a great deal about most of the businesses he went into. He learned along the way. Branson wasn't the type to spend thousands of dollars getting 'guru' type products and then studying them for a few years...and then ultimately doing nothing with them. Instead he pitched into his opportunities as soon as they became visible.
