Default The connection to stock market investing....

I wanted to add a little "footnote" here....

As many of you know, I'm a successful investor in the stock market. (I've made good returns every year so far, since I started investing just over 5 years ago....)

My approach is that I use a "Warren Buffett"-style approach to investing.

Once, Warren Buffett was asked what it is he looks for when he invests in a company. Without hesitating, he replied, "Sustainable competitive advantage".

A company with a strong competitive advantage over its competitors will often have strong profits, and the bigger its competitive advantages are, the stronger and more robust those profits will be. If it has sustainable competitive advantages, then those profits should remain strong a long way into the future....

This is the connection between looking at "competitive advantage" as an entrepreneur, and a Warren Buffett-style of investing....

P.S. Who is Warren Buffett? I met an old friend the other day who had no idea who Warren Buffett was. For those who may not know, Warren Buffett is the second richest person in the world (after Bill Gates), according to Forbes magazine. Here's a link to a brief bio of Buffett from Forbes magazine.
