Running hard, and getting nowhere -- the "cure"....
Hi Gordon,
Your writing quickly gets to the HEART of the matter.... :)
> Motivation (movement) comes from
> anticipation...
> of the fulfillment of a desire.
> So if there is a lack of movement in your

> examination of the desire.
> If you have one. Ah.
That's a really good observation....
If you WANT something badly enough, and you believe that it is attainable, it can be a powerful motivating force!
> The WANT is ONE.
> TWO are numbers...times and dates.
> ACTION is three.
> ADJUSTMENT is four.
> The four step plan to fulfillment...it is
> just that dang number one...isn't it?
It seems to be true.... Many do not know what they want.... It's an important question....
I think what can be very scary is the feeling.... I'm working SO hard, doing SO much, yet I feel like I'm getting NOWHERE....
I think that feeling partly comes from not knowing what you WANT....
We've all had that feeling at some time or another.... Working like crazy, and not even getting closer to your goals... Especially when you're not even sure what your goals are....
One reason I've been so attracted to your various teachings, Gordon, is that you show people HOW to get OUT of that rut, to figure out WHAT you want to do, and WHAT you can do to get out of the "pit".... And this made me think of something....
What's my real goal?
It took me a while, but now I realize....
It's not JUST about money, but about time as well, and spending your time doing something you enjoy. I'm lucky that working on Sowpub is a lot of fun. :)
It's good to take BOTH money and time into consideration.... :)
Thanks Gordon, for all you've shared! I, for one, am grateful.... :)
Cheers,
Dien
