Default Wow, thanks for the blast from the past

40 years ago I was standing beside the 12th tee at the Masters within 5 feet of Gary Player as he sat on his bag. You can be darn sure I wasn't moving, swaying or anything - I was frozen!

Remembering that brought back that sense of wonder and awe I had for those guys then. I could even smell grass, pine trees and azaleas. You're right, the Senior Tour was created because we wanted to feel like a kid again, and when the crop from the early sixties is too old to compete, it's all downhill.

(Oh yeah, do you remember Gay Brewer? I have a vivid recollection of his funny swing on the practice range at Augusta.)
