I have no idea what some of my clients make, but both Bob Serling and Dr. Paul Hartunian have told me they use eBay all of the time.
Pauls latest project for those of you who don't know, involves a non-profit organization that takes dogs out of shelters (often on the day they're scheduled to be "euthanized", which is a politically correct way of saying killed). He then puts them into foster homes until he's able to find permanent homes for them. He's been able to take hundreds of terrific dogs off of death row and put them into permanent, quality homes.
He wants to create a nationwide network of foster homes for these dogs - thousands of them. The name of this project is the National Foster Dog Network.
He also want to build four sanctuaries around the country for "unadoptable" dogs to live out their lives in comfort. The name of this new project is "Second Chance Dog Ranch"
In order to get these two projects moving on a solid foundation, he needs $7 million. He has committed $2 million of his personal money to this project.
If you have a couple of million to put into a non-profit organization, in my books -- that makes you rich. So yes, rich people use eBay.
BTW:
Paul has setup a mailing list for people interested in helping out with this project. It basically works like this -- if you help him make money for the National Foster Dog Network, he'll help you make money. Here is what he published to his mailing list:
There are many ways you and I should be working
together to produce very significant amounts of money
for both of us. For example:
* I can promote your products to my customers on a
joint venture basis? I have 36,000 ezine subscribers
and 74,000 additional "hard copy" customers. People
I've done JVs with in the past have been very pleased
with the results
* you could promote my products to your customers
on the same joint venture basis. I have dozens of
products and I'm always creating new ones
* ads are available in my ezine and my hard copy
mailing list is available for rent on a one time or
multiple time basis
* one of the best ways I raise revenue is by
speaking at seminars and bootcamps. So, if you help me
get new speaking engagements, I'll send you a check for
$1,000 for each engagement.
* I could speak at seminars or bootcamps you
sponsor or are affiliated with. When I speak at
bootcamps I not only electrify the audience, I make a
very impressive number of sales. You'd be getting 50%
of all sales
* we could do taped interviews on publicity for
your niche market. I would show your customers exactly
how to use publicity to promote their business (or just
about anything else) across the country or around the
world for less than they spend on a typical lunch.
These interviews would provide new products for both of
us, which we could offer to our customers. They could
also be used to promote sales of my publicity kit on a
joint venture basis
* we could do teleseminars. I would set everything
up. You would simply promote the event to your list and
we would split revenues.
* I have articles about publicity that can be
customized for your market. You can post them on your
website or send them to your clients. These articles
can generate sales for my publicity kit, which we would
make available on a JV basis
* I have reprint rights for quality products
available for sale
* we could talk about other options. I'm open to
just about anything that'll generate funds for the dog
project.
This project means more to me than just about
anything else I've done. I'm putting in 16 and 18 hour
days raising the $7 million I need.
So there you have it. Big benefits for you, big
benefits for me - and huge benefits for the dogs.
I want to create as many win/win situations for
both you and me. If the dog project makes money, so do
you'and there's no limit!
So there you have it. Rich people use eBay, and there are all kinds of opportunities to make money by "Keeping your eyes open" and in cases like this you can work towards a good cause. If you want to get on this list or have some idea for the project or Paul, you can email Paul at
[email protected]. After four years of working with Paul I can tell you from experience he is a GREAT guy to work with.
Best Regards,
Steve MacLellan
