Hi Ramesh,

Many years ago, I asked a mentor (Gordon Alexander) on his recommendations on how I should develop my business and entrepreneurial skills...

He said I should get some experience in sales!

So I did. I got a sales job, selling comedy club tickets. It wasn't an easy gig - it was commission-only, so how much I made varied from week to week. Other things could affect sales too, like the weather, what other events were on, and so on.

However, I learned how to sell. Almost anything you'll do as an entrepreneur will involve selling - whether selling your product, "selling" investors on investing in your business, "selling" suppliers on dealing with you, and so on.

It was good advice!

If you or someone else in your business can't sell, you are virtually bound to fail.

You can sell successfully while being honest (as long as you have a good product). That's what you should learn how to do.

Read "The White Bread Post" - http://www.sowpub.com/story-whitebread.shtml

Also - never stop learning. There is a treasure trove of practical knowledge in books...!

Best wishes,

Dien
