Our local Walmart has created a "one direction" only shopping experience. In other words, you can enter an aisle going one direction and continue in that direction only. Supposedly, it is helpful to keep shoppers going "one way" so that there is little chance of shoppers getting close to one another while shopping, thereby keeping people safe.

I started down one aisle, went about 10 feet, realized I was in the wrong aisle, turned around and started to head out. Suddenly a man started screaming (yes, screaming)

"You're going the wrong way! You're going the wrong way!"

It appeared to this man that I had committed an un-forgiveable act !

Are people getting crazier or is this typical in "fear-soaked America?"
Hi Millard,

I don't have any statistics... but you do get the feeling that some people are going a little "stir-crazy"...

(Heck, I'm going a little stir-crazy myself!)

In a way, I'm lucky - we live right in front of a creek, with a long thin park that goes for miles along the creek. It's right behind our house...

My wife recently insisted that we go for a half-hour walk along the creek, early every morning.

I grumbled - but I feel better now that I'm getting used to it!

We try to go at the crack of dawn, to avoid the other people who have the same idea...

I think it's a great idea to get out and stretch your legs where you can - and where there aren't too many people, if possible...!

I agree, some people are going a bit nuts...

I feel exercise helps to make you feel more normal again - especially if you're spending most of your time cooped up inside...
