Default Good as any response. But reciprocity in marketing...

In fact... here. Take this small gift. I was thinking of you and thought you might find it interesting. Maybe you will, maybe not. Either way, I just was thinking of you and wanted you to have it.

I might swing by here again in a week or two. I look forward to catching up with you then.

And if it so happens you like the gift I just gave you, perhaps I might have something similar you might like to see, when we meet again.

Talk soon!

I just got one of these "thinking of you" BS emails from some NLP reformed guru who is the most incongruent marketer there is.

Reciprocity in general is probably an innate reaction (arguably) but when a marketer attempts to use it, it is more shinola on the boots.

If the gift comes with strings attached, and most do. It is still about you.

Send me the gift anonymously and don't bring it up again, and you'll be getting closer.

But still, rather than a gift, how about making sure there is benefit originally?
