But first, just read a story about another woman, a nurse I think, who left a million dollars to some charity. Watched a movie about the Iran-Contra and the pilot, Barry Seal, who had millions of dollars buried in his back yard.

Coffee cans, mattresses, tool boxes, loose bricks, creaky floorboards, all may have hidden treasures because someone, at one time, was a tad bit weird with their money. I've never found any, did find a toy I buried in my childhood back yard 40 years later, wasn't a good toy, not worth anything...unlike those DC/Marvel Comics mom tossed out when I went into the Navy, uggh, there went one fortune.

Don's idea of sitting at the table with the owner, and getting the referrals RIGHT THEN, on the spot, make the calls, is IN my Opinion, the best advice he ever gave for free, and has been used by many people to make some very fast moolah.

With a HOST postcard, where he gets his front for FREE, it is an almost automatic response, using a variation of this:

"imagine if I put someone other than YOUR guy (plumber, electrician, HVAC, roofer, handyman, etc.) on the card and YOUR guys sees it?, how will that make him feel? Better to give him first RIGHT of refusal, no pressure, no obligation, just the first chance, if he passes, OK, I'll get someone else."

Using that may cut that hour in half. What I've encountered is too many people don't ask or get referrals because the HOST feels uncomfortable about giving out names, but take his concern off the table, FLIP IT, give it the old topsy-turvy...

"How would you feel if your friend, Joe the Plumber, did a card and put (a competitor) O'Malley's Pub on his card instead of your place, Tommy's ?"

Almost magical.
