There's gotta be a better idea than this...

What Cornwall-on-Hudson lawyer Howard Protter has suggested to the board is a sort of registry — modeled after the national "Do Not Call Registry," adopted to rein in telemarketers — whereby residents could let phone directory publishers know their product isn't welcome in their homes.

It'll never work because phone books are mass delivered and Do Not Deliver lists do Not work!
