Thanks Pete,

YES, expired patents can be valuable. However, there may be a reason why you'll see these "MAJOR" companies and players letting them go.

The IDEAL situation as Harvey Brody explains it is: look for items taken to the marketplace, but flounder...due to lack of marketing knowledge or lack of shelf space.

He calls it the Momma and Poppa types (in his document)...and there isn't enough time in anyone's day to explore all the possibilities out there.

So the answer is a qualified YEA, but a better answer would be "look for products fully developed and under marketed". That's one of the KEY Toll Position strategies Mr. Brody advocates.

PS. Pete, and others, that may be one reason why a fully developed web site concept can garner more money...it is easy and simple...so FULLY DEVELOPED works not only in products, but also in business concepts and domains even. More information on Toll Postions will soon be available at http://www.incomeandhappiness.com/blog
