I hope we're going to really enjoy the last of this year...now that we have a brand new million dollar plus ball to enhance our celebrations. Personally, I find it disgusting in a city with so many dying from malnutrition, neglect, and disease right in the very same town where they could find the money for that disgusting display of idiocy.

Traditions be damned...people first! I won't be watching it or having anything to do with it. I'm voting against reckless, needless, spending for inconsequentials in my own way.

Don't tell me it's just 'business'. That's baloney! People don't need a million dollar ball to tell them a New Year has arrived. The old one would've been just fine, IMHO, if they really need to see something like that in their pickled brains. They don't need a computerized ball to be able to celebrate anything...they just need to look at the clock, count the seconds out loud together, and get on with celebrating, if that's their choice.

Call me a spoil sport if you want but that's how I see it, folks. Oh, yes, A Very Happy And Prosperous New Year to you all. See how easy that was?
