Things are happening fast.

In 7 days we will see what the effects are from this lock down. It isn't looking good.

The ripple is all those young kids, and preschoolers at home, will mom and dad have to hire babysitters, do they stay home?

One would think a governor of a state the size and population of Ohio, would have some "inside" info, and his quick decisions based on what they say have been weeks of preparation, is sending ME a message.

He apparently isn't a Sean Hannity fan, silly republican governor.

I wonder if the State run LIQUOR stores are on the list, will Jack Daniels go the way of Wonder Bread?
Hi Gordon,

This will definitely be traumatic for some...

Chefs might do okay (due to take-out and food delivery) - but waiters and waitresses are probably gonna be out of a job...

I've heard that airlines are hurting. They're still running now, but there could be a lot of layoffs in the near future...

Here (in Australia), they haven't closed down the bars and restaurants yet.

They've prohibited gatherings of more than 500 people - which has canceled a lot of upcoming concerts and festivals, and even "mega-churches".

There's talk of prohibiting gatherings of over 100 coming soon...

As a band manager, I've had one band gig in April recently canceled. It was a 20th birthday bash for the venue, but now they've canceled all their gigs for the next month.

There's another gig - at a bar - coming up in about 1.5 weeks, which is still going ahead as of now, but I suspect there's a chance it could be canceled, we'll see... I'm personally at high risk from the coronavirus due to pre-existing ailments, so I'm personally not going to any gigs for my own protection... (As the band manager, I don't have to be at the gigs, although I usually go, but not in these circumstances where my health could be threatened...)

Definitely professional musicians are having a hard time, with all the festivals, gigs, and concerts being canceled. Most musicians don't make a lot of money in the first place. This is probably also true for others in the live entertainment industry... The fact that many of them are waiters and waitresses on the side probably isn't good for them either.

Supermarkets here have suspended home deliveries, except for those in "genuine need"... I think they've probably been overwhelmed by the demand...

People are having a difficult time getting toilet paper, tissues, pasta, rice... The supermarket keeps selling out. I haven't seen a roll of toilet paper for a while (apart from my own)... I always tended to buy "in bulk" anyway (before the recent panic), so I'm okay for now...

That's what's happening downunder!
