I LOVE the idea!

I'm always looking for ways to make my writing interesting...

It's not always easy!

I usually do it by looking for the interesting angle... But I also sometimes pop in (what I hope are) interesting images too!

Which reminds me of one of my favorite ads... David Ogilvy's The Man in the Hathaway Shirt!



What catches your attention when you see this ad?

What catches my attention is...

The eyepatch!

So... you read the copy.

Why does this man have an eyepatch?

Did he wrestle a bear, who popped his eye out?

Or maybe...

Was he in a fighter plane accident during the war?

You read and read... and...

...you never find out. But you do find out about how great Hathaway shirts are!

I love it!

Fun fact... The Most Interesting Man in the World campaign is said to be a knock-off of the original Man in the Hathaway Shirt ads...
