Default "Flirt Tipping" on an airplane? Why not?

Hi Glenn,

I was thinking about your flirt-tipping when I just came across the following story...

Now, this does not use the valuable "uncertainty" you posted about! (I think there's something amazingly valuable there...)

But you still might find it interesting!

Entrepreneur and author Peter Shankman, who flies a lot, does this when he gets on a plane...

He has a huge bag of M&Ms with him. And he hands it to one of the flight attendants when he gets on board.

He says,

"These are for you, but you have to share with your coworkers, ok?"

Then gets down and sits in his seat.

Now, think about flight attendants. They have to deal with a lot of cranky passengers, many of whom are not nice people.

So, someone hands them a big bag of M&Ms to share... Suddenly, their mood perks up, and they're more cheerful. They will relate to you better - and you'll have a better flight too!

Anyway, I thought this was along the lines of your "experiments"!

You can read Peter Shankman's experience here...
