Some years ago, I owned an electrical supply business.
Reading your post, reminded me that there is a lot of money to be made
in that space. Especially, today.
The opportunities are all around, if you are paying attention.
I won't be writing any reports on the subject but I am going to put
a couple of people on the detail.

Install Motion Detectors in all the Classrooms and hallways where
lights were left on night and day.
After some tests were done in ONE ROOM.
Motion detectors went up in all classrooms, offices, halls and even stairways.
What I couldn't Calculate
that boosted savings over a M*ILLION BUCKS.
Was the savings in HEAT LOAD.
Turns out if the lights aren't on all summer - the AC runs a LOT LESS
and the Electric Bill (And AC Repair Bill) Falls like a rock.
Dunno how big Your Company office building is.
But this could be a M*illion D*ollar "Eco-Friendly" idea for you too.
