Default Christmas is coming, the geese are getting fat. Are you ready?

School has started. Fall is almost here, and in the very near future; pumpkins, ghosts and Halloween...then Thanksgiving (USA), and then SHOPPING season for Xmas is here.

Do you have your offers ready to go?

Coming soon. Like real soon. More information and KNOWLEDGE on how to cash in this coming season, OK?

Hi Glenn,

Ankesh's stuff is great! (I am on his newsletter list!)

May I ask - which is the sales-boosting PayPal button?

(I'm going to guess it's the animated one - because it catches your eye - but I don't actually know!)

Best wishes,

Dien

Yes, you're right Glenn... That is the acid test!

People can vote, but you really know what they like when they fish the money out of their wallet (or type in their credit card or PayPal details)...

By the way, I always get a lot out of your posts!

One of the things which is so important about what you do is you highlight the importance of humor in "breaking the ice"... and achieving rapport. Not many people talk about that!

In fact, I remember reading advice to AVOID humor in sales... Which I don't agree with.

But - in most cases - I think it is good to stick to "non-offensive" humor...

(There are a few cases, though, where that would work, such as when you have a "common enemy"...)

Best wishes!

Dien

P.S. I've been saving up humorous news stories I come across... Here's an example...

In Wisconsin, someone drove a car through a McDonald's drive-through... with a cow in their back seat!

Maybe the cow was there to provide some fresh milk for the milkshakes?

If so... I'm impressed!

Default An Entrepreneur read the WSJ...

The cow was sitting on a block of ice.

Apparently, the cow's owner was offering a solution to a problem as reported by the Wall Street Journal.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/mcdonal...it-11630522266

I think the cow's owner was a guy named Ray Crock.

Gordon

PS. One can probably pick up a used TAYLOR made ice cream machine cheaply, but trying to flip it would be a problem, unless you sold it as an expensive mixing machine, sans cold.

Although I am making fun of it, the "right to repair" movement is gaining traction and could impact scores of high end manufacturers in the near future. Exclusive service contracts have long been the industry standard, built in profits with the sale. Now, buyers want choices.

Default McDonalds Milkshakes Taste Like *Chemicals* to me

Thanks Gordon,

Couple years back to make a Milkshake you put a few scoops of ice-cream
in a metal cup.

Pour in milk.

Stick it under a high speed mixer.

DONE.

Now there is No Milk OR Ice-cream in the DANG Milkshakes at McDonalds, Burger King and most other fast food Restaurants.

I join some of my McDonalds LIFE STYLE neighbors for dinner
and Am AMAZED at what is being sold as FOOD today.

My family raised Steers. Planted a Garden.
Made Home Made Ice-cream using real milk, strawberries and cream.

So I KNOW what Beef is Supposed to Taste like.

This
DOES
NOT
Affect me.

Because Like SPOONS at Restaurants. (Have you noticed you don't get a Spoon with your Sit Down meal anymore?)

Fast food places have CUT out Strawberry Milkshakes. Which are the only kind I like.

Default Cia, mcD and critical mass...

No beef but lots of secret ingredients which effect brain chemistry. THEY now have control of the masses who consume their products ( I too, can't call it food) and the switch has been thrown...and this explains it all.

Ray Kroc, CIA, chemical mass... I heard it on a podcast, so it must be true.

Default I Did Marketing for The Owner of 3 McDonalds in Ohio

Thanks Gordon,

The owner sent me ALL of the Sales and Marketing Info He got from The Parent company.

NOT ONE Idea You Could Implement.

I got the guy out of the RED using Hand Held Signs at drive thru.

HE was So Scared.

He fired me as soon as he got back into the Black.

Said he was going to BURN our Signs.

In His Franchise Contract it STATES he cannot use outside Ideas.

I've gone to making my own milkshakes and ice cream along with other things. This way I can control what I am eating and drinking. Got a lot of the old time cookbooks around my house. Fortunately, there are a couple of restaurants near me that cook from scratch as well.
