Default Just put up a site looking for critiques

I would say be gentle in your critique but that wouldn't help me improve. As the title says, I just put up a site at

http://www.couponsbythemillions.com

The site offers a free download of a book by the same name. The book has 100 websites that are focused on coupons, discounts, freebies, samples, etc. It is pretty straightforward actually. I even included a one time offer on the site in case someone wanted to spend a few bucks with me.

I emailed my existing 864 subscriber NL base and had 11 downloads as of this writing. Probably will get another 20 or so when people get home from work. For my list, that is great. My list goes to senior citizens btw.

I am looking for your first impression, wording that can be changed, and, in fact, anything you see that can make it better. I do not have one affiliate lilnk in the book nor did I accept paid advertising. I wanted to be sure it was as clean as I could make it.

I also put a description after some of the sites, ie, those that sent me a description and an opinion after some of the others. Most are just listed w/o any description or opinion. I visited each site to be sure it was real and did what it claimed.

Thanking everybody in advance who responds.

Tom

How are you planning to promote this website? Are you planning to buy ads to generate 50-100 leads per day? Or do you have any other source of traffic that can generate leads consistently?

If so, it makes sense optimizing your website. And run A/B split test campaigns.

Two things I would work on testing:

1. The name. Spend $50-100 on Google Adwords to test headlines. The best performing headline should become the name of your report and website.

2. The format of the salesletter. I would create a version that lists down all the brands and logos that you can help folks find coupons for.

Headline would be:

Would You Like To Get Your Hands on Discount Coupons for The following Brands?

20-35 brand name logos would follow the headline.

To the right of it, I would have the email opt-in box.

No other information or explanation on the page. Except testimonials if you have them.

I just downloaded your book. It needs editing. It needs better content. A google.com search gives a better list of sites than your book. You should give your own description and your rating for a website and not copy paste emails the website owner sends you especially when the email replies you have received are so bad. I also dont understand why the bonus was a website link that has nothing to do with coupons or discounts or saving money. The book is not focused at all. It shows that you got tired with it yourself because the first 20 websites have their emails copy pasted and then you just copy paste a long list of websites without any description after that and tell people that now they have a list of over 100 links. I know its a free book but its not even worth that. You should improve your book with better content and editing before giving it away.
