Default Save your grocery bills this month...because...

they may be the lowest grocery prices you'll ever see again.

Coming SOON: SHARP rises at the grocery store, double digit over last year's prices.

Will there be run on groceries? Yes. Only because there always is...when weather conditions dictate so...in FL during a Hurricane...in OK and "Tornado Alley" during tornado season (are we in for a long one this year?)...

In the Northeast when the lights go out for whatever reason.

"There's a bad moon on the rise." CCR And a coming food shortage due in part to weather, hoarding and taxes.

The powers that be are HOPING for, no COUNTING on some severe weather which will allow them to test their new "help" systems...new centers of protection...we don't want another New Orleans SUPERDOME on our hands...so we have a plan to give people a place to live...how sweet it is.

The reason you should keep this month's grocery bill is so you can see for yourself, the slow, then accelerated price hike in every grocery category you buy; breads and grains, cereal, meat, eggs, cheese, poultry and canned goods.

Across the board price hikes...which will soar when the credit card "crisis" hits the fan (Oh, they've been saving this one)...in the next 90 days.

Spring 09 is going to be a stormy time, tulmutuous weather, fewer acres planted...soaring food prices.

But that is the doom and gloom part...any good news? Great time to have a garden, reset your lifestyle to eliminate the foods that are killing you slowly (sugar, salt, yeast, chemicals)...and to attempt a more healthy lifestyle.

Good time to develop products that help people save/make money.

Good time to solidify or build your community links, uniting with other communities nearby with PRIVATE disaster plans.

The flooding of the Red River this week ushers in Spring 09.

Keep your grocery bills for the month of March, we can do some comparison shopping too. Will grocery stores begin to STOP accepting manufacture's coupons? We'll see.

Some good ideas, Gordon. Unfortunately, some of this is water under the bridge because it's already happening. Last night Safeway sold out 20 boxes of bananas, all their milk, all the bread...and it was just put out that same day!

Here are some concrete suggestions to help you become self-sufficient AMAP. Money is secondary because money can't buy what isn't available for sale.

Consider container gardening on a deck or patio if you don't have land you can put into productive garden use. That's what we're going to do ASAP.

Consider purchasing or making a food drier to keep things longer term in minimal space and container requirements.

Buy or build a sprouting system for the kitchen and have your own fresh spices and sprouts. I had one years ago that was six round white plastic trays, perforated for drainage, that stacked. Easy to use and keep fresh...hope I can find another one. If you know of a good source for something similar, please share the info.

Buy your seeds as fresh as possible in most cases. Save containers for use in starting plants for your container garden. Eventually, save your own seeds for drying and planting the next crop.

Use liquid fertilizer rather than powdered...easier to store and better absorbed by the plants...especially in containers.

Buy Ziploks and containers for flours and cereals on sale as available.

Re-consider the value of a stand alone freezer if you live in an area, like I do, that has frequent power outages. If you use one, get content insurance and/or have a safe means of keeping power going. Don't forget the fuel to run the power source...lots of folks discovered that, when the power went out, so did the ability to pump gas etc. Be prepared but remember: SAFETY

To save root crops, consider building simple boxes and filling them with organic earth to put the crops in and cover them. Store them in a cold, but protected, area during the winter. Apartment dwellers can do this in outside storage units that are usually provided with most apartments.

Well, I could go on and on but this is long. What tips/ideas do YOU have to share?

BTW don't forget, if you have a bumper crop it'll be well worth offering it for sale to those less able to grow their own...prices will be up as will demand.

When a can of beans gets to be too expensive for "da masses"....and "da masses" look to "da Gummit" to "help them"....that's when our country turns from "individuals being in control of their lives"....to...."da Gummit" being in control.

And....the Time is coming fast.

"US individualists" are getting prepared for the day (soon) when we will have to "run and hide" from the "Obamanistas". AKA the "Ignorant Masses" who have been brainwashed to believe that "da Gummit" will "take care of them".

Yeah, Sure!

Default Just announced this morn....

UNemployment NOW at 20.5% in Douglas, County, OreGUN.

When their UNemployment runs out....if "da Gummit" doesn't "Bail them out" (Us taxpayers), what are these 15,000 people going to do for FOOD?

They MAY become get "desperate" and resort to "taking it by force" so they can stay alive!

Our "FoodBanks" are CROWDED now and don't have the resources to continue.

Get ready folks....you aint't seen nothin' YET!

Default It would seem this is what Obama WANTS!...

He WANTS to economy to go off a cliff -- so he can swoop in and "rescue" everyone (read: implement socialism).

His plan is to CREATE the problem so he can force people to accept his (so-called) solution (which is really a shredding of the constitution).

Even though he stinks as a radio host, get Mark Levin's new book, "Liberty and Tyranny." I hope the book wakes the rest of America up (before it's too late)!!!
