Default The Motivational Mountain and How to Recover from Failure

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-33424304

The BBC website has an interesting section about successful entrepreneurs and I thought this article about Khoo Swee Chiow, a Malaysian-born Singaporean, was inspirational.

He says: "That is what I say in my talks - when you fail, when you fall down, you are actually getting closer to your goal. You just need to get up and continue."

When you read the article closely, though, it's obvious that he does a huge amount of training for his adventures, honing his skills all the time to give himself the best opportunity of succeeding.

Default Thanks Margaret, this is important....

He says: "I only saw Everest on the way back, on the flight. And it was that glimpse of the mountain that ignited that dream in me."

I believe this may be one of the most inspirational SECRETS out there.

Getting a glimpse of "the mountain". As a metaphor, the mountain is any goal you set. Getting that glimpse, realizing the POSSIBILITY and igniting the desire, is the starting point.

Harvey Brody calls it the view from the rooftop, in this case, the view from the mountain bottom.

As the article points out, Mr. Khoo did not, Fire, Aim, Ready...as so many gurus suggest. He planned it out in great detail.

He PREPARED for the journey up the mountain.

This is great Margaret, thanks for sharing. Do you have an interest in writing, I'd like to send you a report as a thank you. My email is [email protected]

Gordon

PS This reminds me of the POA in the SQ1, which I'll discuss later. I think it is about MINDSET and thinking the processes through BEFORE jumping in is a key element.
