Default 2023 what does the other side look like?

2023

You have gotten to here. Next year, right across the bridge, what awaits you?

I hope: freedom from financial worry, lots of time to use however you want, and good health and great relationships.

Is that is what is in store for you in 2023?

Gordon

Default Exciting things happening... to come...

Hi Gordon,

Sometimes it feels like, take one step forward, two steps back!

(I certainly felt that way with my hospital stay this year...)

On the other hand, I always feel like I'm making some kind of progress...

One project I'm working on is getting into some simple software I'm developing... More on that in the not-too-distant future!

And there are some other things on the horizon... I can't talk about yet... Yet which I think are very exciting!

Thanks for bringing it up!

Best wishes,

Dien

Default One change I'm making...

Hi Gordon,

I just thought I'd share some insights I had... This is relevant ito ADHD people, but actually helpful to anyone, I think...

What they think "causes" ADHD is a higher level of dopamine transporters in the brain, according to my reading... Dopamine transporters remove dopamine from the brain...

That means that the ADHDer needs more dopamine - and hence, more stimulus - than the average person does, to feel good...

So ADHDers have a greater than average tendency to seek new experiences... Whether that be through travel, new hobbies, and yes, even creating new businesses...

When dopamine is too low in the ADHD person, it can lead to lack of motivation, lack of focus, all that stuff...

I've experienced that this year. I was in hospital with a diabetic foot ulcer back in March. Fortunately, it's completely healed, though I've had a few foot injuries since then which have kept me and my foot under care...

Unfortunately, that's meant that I've gotten less exercise than usual, as I've had to worry about not walking around too much... And walking was my main exercise!

Exercise can be a good thing for an ADHD person...

...because exercise stimulates dopamine production!

In fact, Peter Shankman - author of the book "Faster Than Normal" about succeeding with ADHD - swears by doing regular exercise.

My impression is that, for him, he felt that regular exercise was the "cure" for his ADHD issues...

(I think his ADHD symptoms suffered during the lockdowns, because it was harder for him to get his exercise, as his routine was to go to the gym...)

Now that my foot is back to being in a better state, I'm planning to get back into a better exercise routine!

So far, my main exercise is still walking... Though I think I'm going to have to "mix it up"... Not sure exactly what to do yet... (I need alternative exercises which are easier on my feet...)

But I just thought I'd share that. I'm determined to exercise daily - mainly for the dopamine benefits! Hopefully that will be what's "new" for me in the run up to, and beyond, 2023!

Many of us don't get enough exercise... So anything a person can do to get more exercise is good for the majority of us!

Best wishes,

Dien

Gordon

As I look to the future, I am reminded of what has worked in the past.

However, as things change, a lot of stuff will always remain.

Businesses will need new customers.

Businesses will need more profits.

Businesses will need more efficiency.

Businesses will need more was to get referrals.

And so on.

As I think about things, I keep coming back to your hotsheets.

A local hotsheet might be just the ticket for local businesses as part of a larger package that included ways to do all of the above for businesses. This hotsheet could be a pdf in a member's area.

This brings me back to what the future looks like.

As long as a person can help a business to do the things mentioned above (there are more things but the above list is enough) there should be plenty of work to go around.

Default Paper and electrons.

Two thoughts. Of course you are right about business needing customers, and it is an always evergreen market.

So, why? Mainly because they go into business with little to no marketing background, and don't know what to do. Or how.

Maybe a customized HOTSHEET for a specific business, and I'll give you examples in a moment. Along with a local ONLINE community, perhaps a low cost no brainer monthly fee to get ideas on community building.

Downtown Cuyahoga Falls, we have two places where you can buy POPCORN, one is a dedicated popcorn store, and has been around almost two decades, the other a new comer, with popcorn being a part of their business, but just one of a dozen or so offers.

So, two of the same, but not really. One HOTSHEET might be for an add on profit center, like the smaller shop and one HOTSHEET for the dedicated popcorn shop.

Different strokes for different folks.

But since they're both downtown, and part of an association, maybe they would want to be involved in a low cost (because most have been sold on C of C, BBB, Local Associations, etc., etc.) MARKETING specific website, which focuses on digital marketing as well.

Since I know they DON'T have the TIME to do in depth research, that is what the HOTSHEET would provide, a compilation of success around the world, sort of like Dien's Hidden Business Ideas is.

There is a lot of potential in this, and of course, many might retain a marketing consultant on a monthly retainer too. A lot of options to go this route.

The second thought, of course, you know me...is I would carefully analyze the
(wait it is coming)...

the slop and mess; steps involved, contacts {how}, follow up, and people involvement. Every situation is different, but here is where I would probably go back to a default "marketing business" of promotions and business awareness, such as Steve DiMarco has built with his Business Card Connections business

https://www.businesscardconnections.com/

Again, an analysis, a spreadsheet of time, steps, follow up/follow through would show which method would create the better model, or in my case, I would want to execute the MAX BUX/MIN TIME model.

So, I think HOTSHEETS are a good idea, just have to say, if one keeps it simple and doesn't overcomplicate it, might just be a great stream of income.

Gordon
