Default U.K. Lottery ?

Has anyone else been contacted by the following company about winning money in a U.K. Lottery ?

International Contracting Company Ltd
http://www.internationalcontractingcompany.com

It appears to be a scam, since they are asking for money to process the winnings. I don't know how these companies or why these companies get started.

Has anyone heard of this company. Your comments are appreciated. Thank you.

I agree with you that asking for money to process the winnings is more than a red flag. These companies get started and continue because of people with less intelligence than you have :--)

Default It's a variation of the Lagos Lads' scam...

The Nigerian scams work the same way... promise of large amount of money. Only later do you discover they need money for "processing."

These lottery scams have normally been through the mail - at least down here in Australia. But in the US that would also make them guilty of mail fraud - using the US government postal service to commit a fraud. So it makes sense they would now do it via email.

In short: It's a scam.
