Default Toll Positions

I took Gordon's advice and looked through the Thomas maufacturers book. There is a lot of material and initially it was overwhelming. But it is making me think differently.

I also read the chapter on licensing in Robert Allen's book that was suggested. I was a good summary in easy to understand language of the concept.

The ideas are unlimited. I remeber Ted Nicholas once saying that he would buy the rights to books for pennies on the dollar. Most authors have no idea how to market their materials. He would take over and sell the material by direct mail and direct marketing and make money.

Because he knew how to market.

I'm keeping my mind open daily for new ideas that I can license and buy the rights to. I just need to work on my presentation and what to say!!

Default How about something like this...

Remember Baby On Board? Those yellow squares that you would stick on the inside car windows. Who came up with that idea? Did someone have the concept, then contact manufactures to manufacture them, distribution channels with sales outlets or worse yet, set up their own channels etc., or did they have the concept, then approach company's with all the above already in place and license to that company the "Baby on board" slogan that they had already protected.

If the latter is the case, couldn't you come up with catchy sayings for bumper sticker company's, t-shirt company's, license plate company's etc. Seems like it could be a simple place to start the poll concept.

Just a thought.

Speaking of the "Baby On Board" thing, here's an idea for ya. (No charge)

Can't remember the name right now (Old Timers) but you can go to that website that lets you provide customized T-Shirts, Mouse Pads, Coffee Cups, etc., and upload your current ideas.

ie: "Caution, Possible Wardrobe Malfunction"

ie: "Paris who?"

ie: "Don't Mess With My Stuff!"

Thing is, you don't pay anything to do this, and you split the take with the website. The products are only made when an order is placed.

Here's a magnet/sticker company that pays for exclusive use of slogans. Not much though. $50. And they accept less than 1% of those submitted. Much better to do it yourself.
