Hello Fellow Sowpubers,
LindaC here.

Wanted to ask, Is there any fellow Sowpubers that operate a street business? Especially a hot dog cart.

My Best 2 U,

LindaC

This may be helpful - its geared more towards food trucks than street carts or stalls however:

Hi Robert J. and Phil,
LindaC here.

Robert J. Good to hear from you. Phil, thank you for all the information. Three years ago I visited Bens Carts in Gatalinburg, Tenn.

I'm a partner/owner of a mobile hot dog cart.

We do fairs/festivals

Great, all cash business. Work 14 week-ends and take the rest of the year http://www.roadfood.com/Restaurant/O.../le-caves???/?. .

My Best 2 U,
LindaC

Linda, that's great! I've long been fascinated by the opportunity of the dog cart ...

The link you shared is broken. Is that a thread about your dog cart on roadfood?

Hi Robert,
LindaC here.

Sorry about the link in my post. I thought I had deleted the link.

Yes, the street food business is an exciting and profitable business.
The hot dog business is a very profitable business.

Cost to put a fully loaded hot dog in the hands of a customer $0.60 sells for $3.00.
Most festivals/fairs a vendor can easily sell 100 - 150 hot dogs. Same with burgers, sausages, can drinks, and bottled water.

My Best 2 U,

LindaC
