Question Have you tried marketing 'Offline'?...

Has anyone tried marketing their affiliate program or business opportunity (or product/service) '0ffline'?..
If so which techniques worked best for you?

Currently, a simple technique that I'm using is just wearing a simple I.D./marketing tag around my neck and I get at least a few people approach me daily for more info. I got the tag made for about $2 at OfficeDepot, so hey that's not too bad for "hot" lead generation:-). What's generating you good 'Offline' results without costing an arm and a leg??

thanks multi ...

what does your tag 'say'....

glenn has recommended on more than one occasion to wear a
MatchMaker t shirt ...people ask What does a MatchMaker do ? you say...

I match your _________ with my opportunity ...

good old hand shaking politician type personality ...is that you ?

stage a demo ...show em what the product can do ...give free samples...

get it endorsed by someone 'special' in the area...

guerrila marketing called for selling the mayor (or someone like that ) in every small town ...FIRST....even if you gave it to him...and then ask for referrals from mayor...then, every prospect after that , you say ...The Mayor suggested I talk to you about.............

I sold industrial roofing to major accounts for a while when I was young ..and brassy ...

and would call the corporate office and ask for the President ...

naturally , the receptionist would ask who was calling and I would tell her I was calling so they could stop having all those problems with inferior contractors and hire the BEST....

next logical step ....she says...oh you need to talk to ________

she swaps me over.....

phone is answered and I say ...the President had my call transferred to you because_______________.

worked every time....

didnt get every job ...but I talked to the Head Knocker in Charge...

ONE engineer caught on to my little
'scheme', as he called it ..and everyone had a big laugh ...

now that I am telling you bout this , think I will do it again...

at any rate, hope this gives you some ideas...

bob

ps...free samples are the way to go if you can get an immediate response ...

Marketing offline can be very profitable.

For business opportunity stuff, I have used USA Today and Small Business Opportunities magazines.

I like offline soooo much, that I have recently started a national business opportunity newsletter with a group of affiliate publishers.

Offline marketing is a great way to build you business.

Good Success!

Did anybody mention business cards yet?

There's nothing more portable, affordable and versatile than a business card - and people EXPECT you to give you to them, at least if you're serious about your business!

It's just that most business cards are treated as "necessary evils", not as marketing tools. People don't design them with marketing in mind, or they skimp on printing.

Shouldn't your business cards work as hard as YOU do?
