Default Sometimes you can't avoid writer's block... so here's what to do...

I'm talking specifically about nonfiction writing here.

You try... and the words just don't come. There could be many reasons...

Maybe you don't know enough about your topic yet.
Maybe it's not clearly organized in your head yet.
Maybe you're just too dang tired.

What I do when that happens is...

...I do research.

That often helps. I've found you can't "force" good writing to come when you just can't do it!

But... research always helps. It could give you new angles to write about. It can help clarify your ideas. It might even give you ideas for other projects...

Watched an Interview of 4 or 5 of the TOP Popular music Composers in The USA.

Pharrel Williams said of Writing the song, "Happy"

At First I Was trying to Impress.

Then I GOT SERIOUS. I had a Deadline.

NOTHING.

Finally I said to myself, "I'll just PLAY around some. And Have Fun."

Bingo.

"Happy" song and Lyrics rolled out.

STING said he was P*aid to Write the Music for a Movie.

Tried For Months.

Gave the munny back and said, "I Quit."

Then after he Gave Up. The Music and Words Just CAME TO HIM.
