Default A crappy type of business

It's okay if anyone wants to laugh or chuckle at this. Is anyone here doing this business or know someone who has entered the pooper scooper, or better put, the pet cleanup business?

At 51, I have been put on early retirement. I have all day to DO something. I like Boz's Headlight cleaning idea. I am also currently working online with Don's suggestion of video Lead Gen. He's right, Mark Helton knows his stuff.

But I'd like to get out and build a clientele with a solid business offline, too. I currently live in a County that has over 500,000 people and, income wise, is the wealthiest in the state.

Is there any solid (reliable) information out there in regards to this business? I'm seeing some but not sure whether to trust the sources.

Thanks!!

Default Why a FREE Gutter Cleaning Service PAYS so Well

Hi,

A - Cardboard is like gold now.

AND where my Dad lives he has to set cardboard and paper out separately!

I don't think anyone CARES who picks it up.

I keep seeing articles about folks making 80 to 100+ dol lars
each time they bring a pickup load to a cardboard recycler.

B - My Local Church just put in a 10 feet by 10 feet newspaper box. In the parking lot.

Each month they get Cash from the company who re-sells paper to Japan.

=========
C - IF you live in an Affluent area.

Call all your friends and former employers.

Get them to write you an Endorsement of your sterling personality. And
beyond reproach character traits.

THEN...

You can babysit. Local Grapevine Baby sitting services are OVERLOADED
weekends. Little girls often have trouble with rich little boys - anyway.

ALSO...

D - Affluent SnowBirds - patronize house sitting services.

A client going thru divorce in Marin County CA
was able to box up his belongings. Move from home
to home as a house sitter.

People want their pets fed, gold fish or plants watered - just so.

Without having their jewelry looted.

E - I coach a man in rich area of Miami - He is putting together pub-crawls.

We discovered some hi end condo managers (Rent 25K+ a mo) will P AY
him for sending him renting prospects.

F - Another man in Affluent area of Alabama - worked for a roofing company.
Hated it.

We worked out a way for him to GET Roofing and siding leads and SELL
them back to his employer.

A Side Biz came from how we DID THAT.

I - Knock on the door of a home with over-flowing gutters.

II - Offer to Clean out their gutters for F-r-e-e.

III - SHOCKINGLY - he got TIPPED for doing that AND when he asked, "Do
you need any other odd jobs around the house done?"

The lady of the house said "YES."

G - TRUCK Drivers. Did you know that trucking companies pay head-hunting
fees? Many are very short on short or long haul drivers.

Thanks,
Glenn Osborn

P.S. - Here are 9 extra cash hobbies I've collected from affluent clients.

It's amazing but rich men and women choose hobbies that make them munny.

Default instead

Instead of the PPB (poo pickup business)

Why not train the dogs to do their job in only a certain location of the property. Affluent people love to pay for training....and personally I have never heard of anyone doing this type of specific training.

Mine was trained to go in a 6' x4' area....size constraint due to townhouse complex I lived in at the time....peeing wasn't a problem...she was allowed to go wherever.

When I moved to current location...she was lost ...she didn't know where to go. So retrained, but due to huge property I expanded her area to 40' x 30'.

Seemed like a good idea at the time....but when the winter storms blew, and the snow built up over 6 inches...it meant not only did I have to clear the bloody long driveway...but also the 40' x 30' area for her....it was well worth it though as it meant I didn't have to worry about stepping in dog doo-doo elsewhere on the property....there is nothing much worse than having to clean it out of the treads on a running shoe...correction...there is something worse...stepping in a pile of it in sock feet....and yes that has happened....in a customer's basement no less.

Another option for easy disposal is to excavate a foot of ground about 12' x12' and fill it with crushed gravel.

Train dog to only use that area for dumps.

Then simply get a hose and from a distance hose it down..water breaks up excrement and flushes it down throughh gravel to base where it is diluted and decomposes relatively quickly back into soil beneth the gravel.

There is only one drawback to this training....if you take your dog on an extended trip you may have problems getting it to go in a strange area...I learned this the hard way...took dog on a road trip (18 hours)...she had to go but wouldn't due to not having her trained area at hand....the last few hours of the trip was made with all windows full open as the gas she was passing was kind of a gagger.
