Default Below the competition. Why?

I'm newbie at eBay and I have the problem.
All the time my items are below the competition (I use Andale free counters). I tried different catecories and different keywords. But it does now work!
Could you please give an idea? Why?
What is wrong?

Thanks,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Ebay auctions are listed by closing date. So if your auction ends after your competitor, his will be first.

That is, unless you pay for a 'Featured Plus!' listing then your auction should come up in that category on top - I'm not sure if that's the case when searching for your 'keywords'.

Can you tell us what your ebay ID is? Maybe I can give you a few more ideas that would help.

I'm not sure that the competition really exist because I sell astrophotos. There is nobody with the same product.

I'm not sure that I'm ready to use 'Featured Plus!' I have only one positive feedback that is not enough to use 'Featured Plus!'

Hi Daniel,

I looked at your auctions on ebaY. I like the layout and the type of auctions you're running... I think they should be successful.

One question: Why do you have a "Payment in USA, shipping from Ukraine" logo at the bottom of your listing?

It's confusing to me and I bet a lot of other people who may not wnat to bid if they know they have to wait for it to be shipped from the Ukraine... there's lot's of questions raised there...

Just curious.

Default Re: WesternBid

Hi Daniel,

I see what's going on... you live in the Ukraine and you can't accept PayPal for your auctions so they are going through WesternBid.

I think you have two problems:

1. The market...
2. Trust...

I'm not sure what the market is for your astrophotographs are... they look great and I like them and even if I wanted to buy them from you I may not trust sending money to the Ukraine through WesternBid...

So, take it slow... try to build up some feedback from a variety of ebay users. Once people see you are honest and deliver as promised you will start to see your business build up.

Best of luck... hope you can hook up with PayPal soon... that will help your credibility :-)

Default Thanks Dave!!!

Hi Dave,

I live in Ukraine. I know that my country has a bad reputation on eBay. This company in US is only way to accept Check/Money Order for me. There is phone number for people who have doubts.
Unfortunately PayPal do not work with my country.

Probably you could recommend something to fix that problem.

Thanks,
Daniel
