Default Mathew Osborn Owns PooperScoop.com

Funny,

So this guy Matthew Osborn started a service cleaning up pet waste.

Got so big he hired 7 employees.

Vans that come to your home.

Then Mr Pet Butler Came alone and went National with the idea.

http://www.petbutler.com/pbx/

NOT FOR ME.

This is why we had cats when I was growing up. Our farmer neighbors had
dozens of cats. In our neighbors dairy milking parlor - learned how to shoot
milk from a cow right in a cats mouth.

Funniest thing you ever saw - the cats line up.

Our Outdoor cats dig a hole in the grass or loose dirt and COVER it up.

Anyway...

It's a side effect of Baby Boomers who lavish all their love on their
DOGS because their kids are grown and moved out.

A WEIRD side effect.

But Our REALITY.

Huge
Huge
Munny.

Thanks,
Glenn Osborn - (I'm the Osborn NOT in the dog manure Business.)

Hi Glenn,
LindaC here.

While PooperScoop, is concentrating on the back-end
of the pet business perhaps now would be a good
time to pitch frozen micro-wave pet meals. Something
for the other end of one's pet.

Entre'e, 2 veg's, and a treat.

My Best 2 U,
LindaC

Default Dog Dinner-&-a-Movie Pet Dating Service

Thanks LindaC,

Just for fun I looked to see what kind of dog dating I could find.

Plenty of pet owners dating sites.

And

Yup.

Found this website...

http://www.petsdating.com

Glenn Osborn

P.S. - The Trick with Up-Scale food for pampered pets might be...

How to Test Recipes that the Dog Owner AND the dog like the taste of.

Nobody seems to be doing that YET.

LAZY Companies ARE putting Human Names on the dog food.

Bacon Dog Chow.

Sausage Flavored Dog treats.

But nobody has yet done the work - I don't think - to design
Hi end food for owner AND pet to enjoy at the table.

THERE ARE RESTAURANTS
Already where the dog sits
at the table with you.

So mebbe not so far fetched. (fetch - get it?)

Glenn,

Speaking of "fetch"--a grandfather and his grandson worked for three years to develop a product called iFetch. It's a gadget that a dog can drop a ball in and the gadget "throws" it for him. You can read about it on their current Kickstarter project (they're funded) or here:

Default **How I Begged On-Line for 20K** BOOK Now Sells in 11 Languages

Here's a Doozy,

This little girl racked up 20,000.00 in debt on Gucci designer clothing.

Then lost her job.

Created a website where she BEGGED for people to send her munny
to get out of debt.

It worked so well.

She now has a hot selling book - about how she did it - selling in 11 different
languages and countries.

SEEMS zillions of other people are in debt too.

Here's the website.

Seems to me This is a BLUE-PRINT for anybody who wants to create
an information product and then sell it to people LIKE YOU.

With the same problem or the same Hobby or interest.

Hi Glenn,

Thanks for sharing that. Shows what you can do with a bit of "chutzpah"!

Somehow, it reminds me of the "one red paperclip" guy... Who started with one red paperclip, then kept trading up, and so on and so forth... Till a year later, he traded up to a house!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_red_paperclip

It's not really the same... But again, they are both kind of ways of getting "something" from "nothing" (or "almost nothing" with respect to the paperclip)...

Sometimes it boggles the mind...

Best wishes,

Dien

Thanks Phil and Glenn for posting about "LaserMonks"...

I love the name "LaserMonks"! It's almost like a contradiction... When you think of "monks" you think of medieval buildings... Such a contrast with the high-tech sound of "lasers"!

I looked into this a bit further... My impression is they seemed to borrow too much money, and tried to expand into too many other areas, then were hit by the economic downturn.

Apparently, they took on a lot of debt. Then...

"At the same time, McCoy continued to explore other ventures: He added soy-based inks and toners as a green alternative to LaserMonks' inventory and expanded into other products, including coffee and dog biscuits."

Quoted from http://www.jsonline.com/features/rel...134013038.html

It's (unfortunately) a common business story...

Best wishes,

Dien
